●1954
The Garrison Company is founded in Farmington Hills, MI.
●1956
Garrison builds Butler Buildings under ownership of Ernie Klein, Herb Rickert, and Ed Gerber.
●1980
Rand Construction is founded in Brighton, MI, by Klein, Rickert, and Gerber, with Don Schulz as its first President.
●1995
Rand Construction sells $1M worth of Butler steel in one year for the first time.
●1998
Andy Klein becomes President of Rand Construction.
●2020
Rand Construction Celebrates 40 years, building throughout Michigan and surrounding states.
●2026
Neil Ganshorn becomes President of Rand Construction.

Butler offers multi-year warranty protection designed to help safeguard your investment. While many manufacturers’ warranties are prorated over time, Butler provides a 25-year finish warranty on painted roof panels, wall panels and trims with no prorating. This warranty protects against blistering, peeling, cracking and chipping of the paint finish, reflecting the long-term performance standards built into Butler systems.
Energy Efficiency
Butler building systems are designed to support energy-efficient construction through roof and wall assemblies that meet or exceed code requirements for thermal performance. These systems are tested for insulating performance using advanced methods to ensure accurate results. In addition, Butler offers reflective roof finishes that meet energy code standards for cool roofs, helping reduce roof temperatures and lower cooling demands.
